Project date: July - August 2010

I created this site for a US-based web comic artist.

The theme, which I made from scratch, was required to have a subtle fantasy style to suit the setting of the web comic, but it also needed to be clean, simple and easy to navigate. For this purpose, I chose a small set of colours to work with (black, white and green) and made use of floral/fantasy Photoshop resources to add a touch of fantasy style to it. Since the comic is the focal point of the site, I also incorporated a unique, eye-catching area in the layout in which the comic strips are shown.

I integrated the final design with WordPress, and then proceeded to integrate ComicPress (a web comic publishing platform for WordPress). The client also wanted a discussion forum as a place for his readers to talk about the comic and various other topics. For this, I integrated bbPress, customizing it in a number of places to integrate it seamlessly with the rest of the site.

I also installed and configured a number of plugins to introduce supplementary features such as a calendar.
