Project date: Mid 2009 - Present

I created this site for an annual charity-based event organized by my local Rotary Club. It is primarily designed to receive online applications for the event and uses PayPal IPN to handle payments.

The site required a clean, modern appearance and a simple, intuitive application process to allow applicants of all ages to enter the event with ease. It was originally powered by CMS Made Simple, but has since been converted to use my custom site management tool, Solum. Along with that conversion, I also re-developed the application process from scratch and integrated it more tightly with PayPal to allow payment via credit card.

"Ricko was approached to create a web site for our Rotary Club Santa Fun Run. He immediately grasped what was required of him with minimal supervision and over several months created a site that exactly suits our needs. He responded clearly and concisely to queries and provided outstanding guidance to others less computer capable than himself. (Me!!)

Of note, he has volunteered to update the site for next year's event based on the knowledge gained in creating the original. This should make entry control of runners easier and more flexible.
